I met this standard by communicating with the people in my class and practicing healthcare skills. During this year we have learned many skills about the healthcare field. We've learned to communicate, help people in serious situations, and how to use personal protective equipment. I have enjoyed learning how to communicate effectively with my peers and knowing how to perform CPR the proper way in order to save someones life.
This standard has real-world application because I am able to apply it in everyday life. I now know how to present myself to others in a professional manner. I have also learned how to remain calm when I am surrounded by chaos. I am also very thankful that I know how to save someone from choking or dying if the situation presents itself.
This standard has inspired me to further discover how important healthcare skills are to my future life and wellbeing. I plan to use all the skills I have learned in class to further my career in the healthcare field. I hope to one day help others in need. I want my patients to know I care and I am there for them. Efficient communication will help me obtain these goals.
