I met this standard by learning different communication skills. I also learned to become a good listener and speaker. Listening and spkeaking is a good skill to learn. I was able to learn about abbreviations as well. Abbreviations are used for the healthcare careers to make is easier and simple.
This standard has real-world application because having communication skills is important when having a job. You are required to have good communication skills when working in the healthcare field. Its very crucial because you have to listen to everything your patient says and learn to speak well because you have to answer there questions and help them.
This standard has inspired me to further discover how people in the healthcare field have communication skills. Some nurses you can see dont have good communication skills therfore you can tell how they interact with you. if they were rushing you and not asking if you have any questions than you can assume that they dont really care or there in a rush. Things like that can show you different aspects.
